The Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site protects one of the region's most important historic trading posts.

- Covered by the Anual Pass*

*The Anual Pass is so to speak the "flat rate" for all Parks managed by the National Park Service. The pass costs a one-time fee of $80 and can be purchased at the entrance to each National Park, National Monument, etc. The pass is valid for 13 months.

Hubbell Traiding Post NHS
Description: The Hubbell Trading Post was founded in 1876 by John Lorenzo Hubbell and was one of the most important institutions of trade with the Navajo, Hopi and Zuni. It is still in operation. Several buildings remain on the site and can be visited. In addition to the actual trading post, the family home and several stables still exist.
Our rating: We enjoyed the historical Trading Post. It was interesting to learn how trade flourished here. Even today, you can still buy numerous products, mainly from the Navajo. A short detour is worthwhile.
