Mule Canyon Kiva

Description: The Mule Canyon Interpretive Site is a complex of ancient pueblo ruins located just off Highway 96, west of Blanding. The well-preserved Pueblo structures are over 700 years old. The complex includes above-ground and underground dwellings: a kiva, a tower, and a block of twelve rooms. The site is open all year round and admission is free. In half an hour you should have seen everything important here.

Our rating: The ruins of Mule Canyon are certainly not a must-see, but a nice little place to stretch your legs and learn a little about the indigenous people of the area. Definitely worth a short stop.
