Devils Backbone

Description: Devils Backbone is an open space area west of Loveland, Colorado. Just outside the city, it serves as a recreation area with about 7.5mi of hiking trails. Characteristic are the rocks on a ridge that look like a spine. We hiked one of the trails along the prominent rock in June 2017. The trail is well maintained and easy to hike.

Our rating: Driving east from Rocky Mountains NP, the rocks immediately catch your eye. It's not a spectacular must see, but still a nice little stop to stretch your legs.
