Infinite desert width

Mojave National Preserve

Description: This protected area is located in the middle of the Mojave Desert. A geologically very varied region. Mountains over 8200ft high, as well as barren plains and sand dunes alternate here. The huge open spaces through which you drive here are very impressive. If you are lucky, even a turtle crosses your way. Anyway, there is not much going on here.

Our rating: Unfortunately, we only had time for one drive through the park. But that was enough to put the park on our bucket list, with the intention of spending more time here one day. We really liked the barren landscape and the sheer size and vastness.
