Johnson Canyon

Description: Situated about 16km east of Kanab, Jonson Canyon is a pretty canyon worth seeing. There are some nice sights to admire from the 16.2mi long paved Scenic Road. In addition, the road through the canyon serves as a access road to many attractions in the area.

Our rating: We visited Johnson Canyon in April 2022. Even though it's not one of the biggest attractions in the Southwest, it was fun to drive through and see the sights along the way. Most of them, however, can only be viewed from the road as they are located on private property. In addition, the drive through the canyon can be easily combined with a visit to other attractions in the area.
