Little Egypt

Description: Little Egypt is located about 35mi south of its better known brother the Goblin Valley SP. The special feature here is the white rock layer that crosses the small goblins. The relatively small area is reached via a 1mi long unpaved turnoff of Highway 96. During our visit in April 2022 the road was well passable for any car. Since the access road is well marked, it should be no problem to find the goblins even without GPS. The area is freely accessible. There is no entrance fee.

Trail length: approx. 2mi
Altitude difference: approx. 279ft
Time needed: 2 hours
Difficulty level: easy

Our rating: Since there are no designated trails, everyone can explore the area freely. The path length each determine for themselves. In a good 2 hours you should have seen the most interesting formations. Even though Little Egypt is much smaller than the Goblin Valley SP we liked it here very much. On the one hand you don't meet many other people and on the other hand we liked the red and white striped goblins. We had fun exploring the area here.
