Steptoe Butte SP

Description:  Steptoe Butte is a quartzite island rising from the surrounding hills of the Palouse. The mountain is 3612ft high and can be reached by a road to the top. As the road winds up around the mountain, there are wonderful views of the rolling hills of the Palouse.

Our rating: We liked the small state park quite a bit. Not the most spectacular thing we've ever seen, but the great views and the pretty hills of the Palouse certainly have their charm.
