Swan Valley

Description: If you drive along the highways in southeastern Idaho, you will find one or the other little highlight. We were even lucky enough to see moose just standing on the side of the road. At the Clark Hill Rest Area we had a great view of the Snake River. While not the most spectacular sights, it does show how much nicer it is to drive the backroads rather than use the interstates.

Our rating: Whenever possible, we try to avoid the interstates, because on country roads there are usually nice little locations to discover, that provide pretty photo ops. We can really recommend this to everyone. We drove through Swan Valley on our way from Jackson (Wyoming) to Crater of the Moon NM.
