Sewanee Natural Bridge
Description: Sewanee Natural Bridge is a 26ft high natural bridge. It has a span of 49ft. You can reach the bridge by turning south onto Highway 56 (Sherwood Rd) in the small town of Sewanee. From here, after a few miles, turn left onto Natural Bridge Rd. Continue straight on this road for about half a mile and you will reach the parking area on the left. To get to the bridge, you hike a very short way down to the bridge from the parking lot. There is a small part over and under the bridge.
Time needed: 1-2 hours with the drive from I-24
Our rating: Not an absolute must see but a nice change on our way through the south of the USA. If you have a little time to spare and are in the area anyway, you can take a look here.
