Tennessee State Capitol

Description: Built between 1845 and 1859, the Tennessee State Capitol was designed by William Strickland and is one of the few state capitols without a dome. It has been a National Historic Landmark since 1971. The Capitol stands on Capitol Hill and is surrounded by numerous monuments. Among other things, the tomb of the former president James K. Polok, who was born in Tennessee, is located here. Who would like to visit the Capitol also from the inside, you must undergo a security check, similar to the one at airports.

Our rating: Since we always like to visit State Capitols, we of course visited this one as well. Who is a little interested in the history of the individual states will certainly have something to discover here. We can recommend a visit.

Country Music Hall of Fame

Description: Since Nashville is considered the epicenter of country music, it only makes sense to locate the Country Music Hall of Fame here. The museum is huge and houses everything about the history of country music. There are changing exhibitions and it is also interesting for non-country music fans. You can certainly spend several hours here if you want to explore everything in more detail.

Admission includes a visit to the Rotunda, where all previous Hall of Fame members have their awards.

Our rating: We're not really country music fans, but we still had fun hiking through the exhibits here. Because it adds a lot to the understanding of the culture of life in the city and gets you in the mood for the bars and live music along Broadway, we can definitely recommend a visit here.

Broadway

Description: This is the place to be for all country music fans and especially for all country music creators. This is the place where artists perform and are discovered. This is where everyone who has anything to do with country music wants to come. Along Broadway there are numerous bars in which countless artists perform from early morning to late at night and present their music.

Our rating: Although we don't really know country music and it's not our favorite genre, we really liked it here. We were amazed at how many great musicians perform here. So we hopped from bar to bar and watched several performances that we thoroughly enjoyed.

If you're out and about in Nashville and miss the bars on Broadway, you haven't really visited Nashville. This one is a must see!!!
