Our visits: So far 1 visit in October 2008

Ohiopyle SP

Description: The main attraction of the park, opened in 1965, is the 13.7mi long gorge of Youghiogheny River. There are numerous waterfalls to admire and especially in autumn these are surrounded by many colorful trees.

Our rating:  We came to Ohiopyle State Park rather by chance, because we actually wanted to visit the adjacent Fallingwater house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Since this was closed, we instead spent a little time in Ohiopyle SP. Unfortunately, we didn't really have much time and so it was only enough for a short look at the Ohiopyle Fall.
