Foxwoods

Description: Foxwoods is a hotel/casino complex on land owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. With the help of a Chinese investor, construction of the complex began in 1986. In the meantime, you can find numerous casinos and hotels here.

Our rating: The reason why we visited Foxwoods in October 2010 and 2013 is the Hard Rock Café located here. Due to the free valet parking, it is not a very time-consuming undertaking and can be done with a short stopover. If you park in one of the free, official parking garages, the distances can be quite a bit longer. Foxwoods is basically not a tourist attraction and we recommend it only for Hard Rock Café or gambler fans.
