Description: When you think of New York, you definitely think of Times Square. The giant neon signs, the news ticker, the studios of Good Morning America, all this is world famous. Times Square is the heart of New York City and the center of the theater district. In numerous theaters around the square you can find world-famous artists, who have guest appearances in various Broadway productions again and again. You will also find stores, restaurants and many more. There is a lot going on here. Day and night there are people on the square. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will not find it here.

Another attraction for people from all over the world is the annual ball drop on New Year's Eve. Starting at noon, more than a million people gather in the square to celebrate the superlative New Year's Eve party.

Our rating: The Times Square is a must see when visiting New York. It's just part of coming here and getting into the hustle and bustle, or visiting one of the Broadway plays.

Tipp: If you want to visit a Broadway play and have no tickets reserved in advance, you can buy cheaper Broadway tickets for the same day here, just behind the stairs in Times Square. However, you should be there early, because there is always a long queue, but with a little patience, you can often make a good bargain.
