Tour - Uptown Manhattan

Description: Here we have summarized a few worth seeing locations in Uptown Manhattan, which we could not yet explore in detail, but which are definitely worth a trip. You can see and visit them all as part of a Hop-on Hop-off tour.

Columbus Circle: The circular plaza at the southwest end of Central Park was designed by Wiliam Phelps Eno and is one of the city's major transportation hubs.

Tipp: From the lobby of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on the 36th floor, you have a great view of the square, Central Park and the skyscrapers around it. The lobby is open to the public, but you may be asked where you want to go. If you ask nicely or are dressed appropriately, you may be lucky and get a look down.

Dakota Building: The Dakota Building is actually a normal building at Central Park. However, it gained fame when John Lennon was shot here on 08.10.1980 by Mark David Chapman, right in front of the front door. His widow Yoko Ono still lives in the building.

Lincoln Center: Lincoln Center is the city's best-known and most important cultural center. Among other things, it is home to the world-famous Metropolitan Opera.

Our rating: There is also a lot to discover in Uptown Manhattan. Unfortunately, we have only been able to look at it in passing. You just always have too little time. Here, too, a visit is worthwhile in any case. Depending on your interests, there is something for everyone in this city.
