Munising

Description: Munising is a small town on the southern shore of Lake Superior. It mainly serves as a starting point for visits to Picured Rock National Lakeshore. The town itself is a typical American village.

Our rating: Munising doesn't have that much to offer, but it is a good starting point for exploring the surrounding area. The surrounding nature in particular offers some great highlights.

Scott Fall

Description: Scott Fall is an approximately 10feet high waterfall that falls over a rocky cliff directly into a small pool. As it is right next to the road, it is also very easy to reach. You can park directly in front, or on the roadside in the parking lot of H.J. Rathfoot State Roadside Park across the street.

Our rating: Unfortunately, there wasn't much water in the waterfall in October 2024, so it wasn't really very spectacular. Nevertheless, it is a nice little stop to stretch your legs.
