Cherry Republic

Description: The northwestern Lower Peninsula of Michigan is the largest producer of cherries in the United States. In fact, 75% of the nation's mighty Montmorency cherries are grown here. At Cherry Republic, the cherries are processed into over 200 products, including salsas, chocolate-covered cherries, cherry-nut mixes, and much more. There are several branches, but the main store is located in Glen Arbor. In addition to the store, there is also a restaurant here.

Our rating: Cherry Republic is an institution in the Traverse City area. Naturally, we had to see the quality of their products for ourselves. Not that it came as a surprise, but of course everything was delicious, including the cherry-flavored BBQ sauce.
