2021 we stayed exclusively in chain hotels. This was mainly due to the short preparation time. There are many privately run hotels and motels in Canada. Unfortunately, we did not have much time to explore them in detail. All the hotels we stayed in were very good. We can recommend all of them for an overnight stay. In general, we had the impression that the chain hotels in Canada generally maintain a higher standard than in the United States. Everything was very well maintained and clean.

Positive: Kostenloses, frisch zubereitetes Frühstück im angeschlossenen Restaurant für Hilton Honor Gäste. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereite Hotelmitarbeiter. Sehr gute Infrastruktur wie Restaurants, Bushaltestelle usw. in Laufdistanz. Hier stimmte einfach alles.
Negative: Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage kostet 15 CAD/Nacht.

Positive: Parkplatz kostenlos. Etwa 30-60min Fahrzeit zu diversen Provincial Parks. Sehr gute Infrastruktur wie Restaurants, Supermakrkt, Tankstelle usw. in Laufdistanz.
Negative: Extremely pricey because of the proximity to the Algonquin PP. Breakfast is very bad for the price.
