Im Schutzgebiet befinden sich 50% der nat\u00fcrlich wachsenden K\u00fcstenmammuts (Sequoia sempervirens). Der Kalifornische Redwood ist der h\u00f6chste Baum der Welt. Da sich das ganze Schutzgebiet \u00fcber ein ganzes St\u00fcck am der K\u00fcste Kaliforniens ausbreitet, wei\u00df man nie so recht, ob man jetzt in einem der State Parks oder im Nationalpark ist. Aber das ist ja letztlich auch egal, die B\u00e4ume sind \u00fcberall gleich beeindruckend.<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Unsere Bewertung:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Die B\u00e4ume sind gigantisch und es ist sehr schwer zu beschreiben, wie riesig sie sind. Genau wie den Grand Canyon muss man auch diese riesigen B\u00e4ume mit eigenen Augen sehen, um einen Eindruck von deren Gr\u00f6\u00dfe zu bekommen. Wir waren sehr beeindruckt und werden sicher nochmal vorbeischauen, wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind. style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Beschreibung:<\/strong><\/span> Der Trail im Fern Canyon wurde uns von einem Ranger im Visitor Center empfohlen. Im Juni 1998, als wir da waren, war die Stra\u00dfe zum Trailhead ungeteert und f\u00fcr uns ein kleines Abenteuer. Wie das aktuell ist, wissen wir nicht, aber da das ein sehr beliebter Trail ist, ist er sicher einigerma\u00dfen gut erreichbar. Der Trail ist einen knappen Kilometer lang und f\u00fchrt durch einen, mit tausenden von Farnen bewachsenen, Canyon.<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Unsere Bewertung:<\/strong><\/span> Der Fern Canyon ist auf jeden Fall ein Highlight unseres Besuches im Redwood NP gewesen. Hier her sollte man auf jeden Fall kommen, es lohnt sich.
