Der Park liegt auf \u00fcber 3000m H\u00f6he und ist so nur im Sommer (meist von Juni bis September\/Oktober) zug\u00e4nglich, auch wenn der Park ganzj\u00e4hrig ge\u00f6ffnet ist. Nach dem ersten starken Schneef\u00e4llen im Herbst, wir der Scenic Drive geschlossen.<br \/>Auf der Parkstra\u00dfe kann man entlang der Abbruchkante fahren und an verschiedenen Aussichtspunkten einen Blick auf die sch\u00f6n erodierten, roten Felsen werfen. Au\u00dferdem, gibt es ein paar Trails, auf dem man den Park erwandern kann.<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Unsere Bewertung:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Bei unserem Besuch im Oktober 2012 hatten wir im Grunde Gl\u00fcck, dass wir den Park \u00fcberhaupt besuchen konnten, denn zu dieser Zeit im Jahr liegt hier oft schon so viel Schnee, dass die Stra\u00dfen gesperrt werden. Allerdings sind im Oktober bereits alle \u00f6ffentlichen Einrichtungen geschlossen. Das Winter Informations Center ist noch nicht in Betrieb. So konnten wir nur zwei Viewpoints anfahren und uns einen ersten Eindruck verschaffen. Kennt man den Bryce Canyon, ist das hier sicher nicht so beeindruckend, aber angesichts der Menschenmassen die sich in den Nationalparks des S\u00fcdwestens in den letzten Jahren tummeln, hat man hier
