Teilst\u00fccke der Stra\u00dfe sind wir allerdings schon sehr h\u00e4ufig gefahren. class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-360d8e9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"360d8e9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Beschreibung:<\/strong><\/span> Die Cottonwood Canyon Road (CCR) ist eine 76km lange Dirt Road zwischen Cannonville im Norden und dem Highway 89 im S\u00fcden. Wenn sie befahrbar ist, ist sie ein attraktive Abk\u00fcrzung auf dem Weg vom Bryce Canyon NP nach Page oder Kanab. Es gibt einige kleinere und gr\u00f6\u00dfere Natursch\u00e4tzchen zu entdecken. Von Norden her kommend, startet die Stra\u00dfe in dem kleinen \u00d6rtchen Cannonville. Nach 11.5km kommt man am <span style=\"color: #ccffcc;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffcc;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sussner.net\/index.php\/der-suedwesten\/utah\/rund-um-escalante\/kodachrome-basin-sp\/\">Kodachrome Basin SP<\/a><\/span> vorbei. \u00a0<\/p><p>Ab hier ist die CCR ungeteert. Nach 14.2km kommt man an den Dry Valley Creek. Dieser ist oft mit Wasser gef\u00fcllt und sollte entsprechend vorsichtig durchfahren werden. Es gibt auf der rechten Seite au\u00dferdem eine Umfahrung der Stelle, die allerdings auch nicht immer trocken ist. Nach 26.8km kommt man an einem weiteren tollen Highlight vorbei &#8211; dem <span style=\"color: #ccffcc;\">Grosvenor Arch<\/span>. Um den Arch zu erreichen f\u00e4hrt man \u00fcber eine kleine Stichstra\u00dfe in paar hundert Meter in \u00f6stliche Richtung. Der Arch ist nicht zu verfehlen, denn er ist bereits von der Stra\u00dfe aus zu sehen. Die Fahrt geht weiter und nach 36.1km erreicht man <em>The Cockscomb<\/em>, einen bunten Canyon, dessen Felsen an einen Hahnenkamm erinnern. Die CCR bleibt auch auf den n\u00e4chsten Kilometer recht sch\u00f6n anzusehen. Immer wieder gibt es links und rechts nette Felsformationen zu bewundern. Nach 54km erreicht man dann den Trailhead zum <span style=\"color: #ccffcc;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffcc;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sussner.net\/index.php\/der-suedwesten\/arizona\/rund-um-page-utah\/yellow-rock\/\">Yellow Rock<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/p><p>Das Gel\u00e4nde wird jetzt offener und man f\u00e4hrt durch eine weite Badlands-Landschaft zuerst am Cottonwood Creek und dann am Paria River entlang. Nach 74.5km erreicht man dann den Abzweig zur BLM 431 Rd. Diese f\u00fchrt zu den <span style=\"color: #ccffcc;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffcc;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sussner.net\/index.php\/der-suedwesten\/arizona\/rund-um-page-utah\/wahweap-hoodoos\/\">Wahweap Hoodoos<\/a><\/span>. Dann nach 76km erreicht man die Kreuzung mit dem Highway 89 hier kann man weiter nach Page (links) oder Kanab (rechts) fahren.<\/p><p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Unsere Bewertung:<\/span><\/strong> Die CCR ist fast vollst\u00e4ndig ungeteert. Da es einige lehmige Stra\u00dfenabschnitte gibt, kommt es leider sehr oft vor, \u00a0dass sie, vor allem nach starken Regenf\u00e4llen, nicht mehr passierbar ist. Bisher sind wird die Stra\u00dfe deswegen auch nur zwei mal in voller L\u00e4nge gefahren. Die Strecke ist sch\u00f6n und bietet einige landschaftliche Highlights. Wir w\u00fcrden aber jedem empfehlen, sich vor dem Befahren in einem der Visitor Center rundherum, nach dem Stra\u00dfenzustand zu erkundigen bzw. umzukehren wenn der Untergrund schmierig wird.
